ViviLab Project: Teaching Children About Clean Energy
19 December 2011
vivilabChildren are usually the most open minded about learning new things and also tend to transfer this information to their parents. It is therefore not a surprise that many schools organize side activities in order to develop a future generation more conscious of environmental issues.

Within this framework, the ViviLab project has been developed for children attending primary schools in the provinces of Verona and Brescia, Italy. The aim of the project is to present the different types of energy sources, how they are transformed into heat and electricity, and what can be defined as clean energy.

Pupils take part in laboratories and classes where they are introduced to the topic by experts in the field. In May 2012, a prize will also be assigned to the class who creates the best energy encyclopedia by collecting drawings, newspaper articles and slogans to promote energy saving and efficiency.

The project is promoted by Vivigas S.p.A., a methane and electric energy provider.

Further info can be found on the project website (in Italian only).
