Closing Ceremony of the Seminar Series

The Venetian Session of the 'Seminar Series: Partnerships for Sustainable Development - Sustainable Public Policies and Business Practices for Black Sea Countries' was held at Venice International University, San Servolo Island, from September 29 to October 7, 2008.
A high level panel discussion closed the seminar series yesterday. The panel tackled the crucial theme of Business in Sustainable Development and was chaired by Prof. Ignazio Musu, president of TEN Center – VIU.
Important personalities of the economic world joined in the discussion: Mr. Bahadır Kaleagasi, the Head of the Brussels Office of the Turkish Industrialists' & Business Association (TUSIAD) and Dr. Dariusz Prasek, the head of Operational Support - Environment and Sustainability of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). In accordance with the aim of the course, the closing panel was an important moment of discussion, exchange of information and sharing of knowledge amongst experts, thanks both to the panellists’ speeches and to the questions and comments offered by the participants.
After the panel discussion, the 35 participants coming from 7 countries of the Black Sea Region (Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Ukraine) received their diplomas as a recognition of their fruitful attendance to the advanced training course.
